Excellent article. Good description, clear pictures. The only thing I might have liked added was a note on fitting oil seals to the k/s and gearchange shafts? Simon Hoskins

These are dead easy to take apart and play with. Using the kick starter to tension the return spring before assembly is great fun and so much easier (and safer) than other makes. The killer is the bearing track on the main output gear. Shrink a ring on? spray weld? or scrap.
