Not sure about the powder coating,surely a new length of bailing wire to hold on the silencer would smarten it up?!

Nice original bike. I would keep it unrestored. Rather clean it up, fix the problems, and use it as it is. Too many so-called "restored" bikes out there...

Reminds me of my old 55 G3L. Bought incomplete, got the missing parts asap, threw it all together, and MOT’d it. Mine was rough but legal and working!

Sorry Ronald, I have to agree with GSAX - Id love one as complete as that. Service it, get it legal and ride out! Turn twice as many heads!
