FJRIGJWWE9R1PIC_RATING:COMMENTS Thanks Duncan,yes I’m sure you are right, a thirties square four, the engine casing is distinctive and you can just make out "Ariel" on the tank.
The square four had occurred to me but I had expected the exhausts to look different.

FJRIGJWWE9R1PIC_RATING:COMMENTS This ’Squariel’ should be a 600cc from 1934, having already the short, wet-sump engine housing. Other features of the "late" Cammies were the single downtube frame and the oil filter at the lower crankcase (below the ohc chaincase).
