Picture: Assembling barrel and piston

Previous Next

Description: Gilding the lily perhaps. Piston inserted in barrel on the bench, far easier, and also to ensure 120 degree ring gap spacing. The spacers to hold the barrel up are drilled one end to go over the studs and have a reduced portion to fit the stud holes in the barrel at the other. The gudgeon pin is inserted with a little wiggling of the con rod. The rod through the pin saves the circlip should it ping off of the circlip pliers.
