1929 Matchless R3 |

|
Description: |
A swedish pre-war Matchless 250cc R3. The bike had a severe fire in the 1940s and was sent through the insurance company to the swedish motorcycle manufacturer "NV", Nymans Verkstäder, for a complete rebuild (an amazing story in itself as it would be like asking Honda to rebuild a 20 year old Triumph today!). Hence the typical "NV"-red re-paint and the "NV"-shaped fenders. The paint and patina of the bike will be maintained because of this story behind it. |

FJRIGJWWE9R1PIC_RATING:COMMENTS I like the positioning of the float chamber close to, and imediately above the exhaust pipe. I wonder if that was the cause of the original fire! like the bike though.

FJRIGJWWE9R1PIC_RATING:COMMENTS The float chamber does look a bit at risk there! Interesting bike and story too, hope you enjoy it.
