brakepedalspring g2/model 14 |

|
Description: |
for clarification of the position of the brake spring, the ’L’ shaped bracket [it’s actually tennis raquet shaped, with a square hole in it and ’L’ shaped] that the spring sits behind, and the hole in the brake pedal that the spring sits in. basically, if you tighten everything up and the brake pedal won’t move then you are missing a spacer, or your spacer is too short, allowing it all to clamp together. this, of course, is the rod that also carries the pillion footrests. |

FJRIGJWWE9R1PIC_RATING:COMMENTS Photos like this are absolutely invaluable when you are puzzling how to put a box of bits toegther. Having said that, my 1960 Matchless G5 has a rather different arrangement of bits and pieces compared to my later Model 8.

FJRIGJWWE9R1PIC_RATING:COMMENTS This photo has answered so many questions as I prepare for assembly of my AJS Model 8 basket case. I have a question about the picture, perhaps someone can put me in touch with whoever posted it. Thanks Alan
