I treat the rust spots with halfords curerust even though the surface rust is gone if any spores are left it will return in time..... a coat of red oxide first then halfords filler primer> 1500 grade wet n dry > 3 top coats

"Spores" of rust? And here was me thinking it was just a chemical reaction between iron and oxygen making iron oxide. Must brush up on my biology.
