FJRIGJWWE9R1PIC_RATING:COMMENTS looks like too much slack either with wear or wrong parts fitted, I have discovered my bike a 1962 AJS model 31 has had an early 50`s norton clutch fitted before I had bought it, the clutch plate tabs on the inner hub are 7mm and a good fit as it is a norton inner hub, ajs/matchless inner hub plates tabs are 10mm, so you could even have norton plates fitted to an amc clutch
