John, I thought the Shuttleworth Snap was a Raleigh? The ’Rainbow’ was an Ariel though, even if I do want to do my Tiger 80 as a Rainbow.....and someone has beaten me to it with the right Ariel.

Acccording to the visor down mag, the bike was a 350cc side valve AJS heavily disguised, the canadian stunt riders didnt show up for filming so the TT commentator Geoff Connells father did the stunt riding at £20 a day, when Formby collapsed on the line after pushing it home he collapsed for real as they has 15 takes of him pushing it. G Formby later took to buying up old bikes doing them up and selling on for a nice profit !! good for him, ha ha never touched me.
