What’’s going on with this exhaust pipe ? |
|
|
Description: |
Something was rattling around inside the silencer and the bike (1953 16MS) has been a bit louder recently. When I took the pipe and silencer off, the strip of metal that had detached itself from the end of the pipe fell out. So what are the options - get the strip welded back on, cut the end off then fit a baffle/drill holes or save up for a new pipe ? |

FJRIGJWWE9R1PIC_RATING:COMMENTS Simple job to braze the piece back in place. Though, I would be breaking out the other side to make it even louder! Loud pipes save lives, it’s said!

FJRIGJWWE9R1PIC_RATING:COMMENTS yep- I got sideswiped off a BMW by a bloke who didn’t realise I was there. A louder exhaust may have saved the day (and lots of my skin!)
