I have just stripped the rear hub of my 1946 G80 to find the bearing configuration as per attached photo, it sure dont look like the one in the parts book, any ideas. the cental spacer is recessed to take the inner part of the inner race. the spindle is 1/2" dia |

FJRIGJWWE9R1PIC_RATING:COMMENTS I’d say that’s a diy fix to away from the original one piece spacer/inner race set up using some more common bearings. Looks like it should work fine!

FJRIGJWWE9R1PIC_RATING:COMMENTS Hi, not sure about a DIY fix. i have exactly the same setup on what i thought was a 1949 rigid rear wheel. Interesting and a good photo. It would be good to see the axle and spacer set-up also... Peter

FJRIGJWWE9R1PIC_RATING:COMMENTS It’s homemade and that spacer should be shouldered down to the inner diameter of the bearings so that it doesn’t bear against the roller cage. I certainly would like the part no’s of the bearings for a future fix!
