This is a 1961 CSR chassis I bought thru the adds in the jampot a Mr McDonald from Falkirk as I recall. The engine is all brand new it is manufactered by a club member who I believe is now retired. The spec is as follows G 50 flywheels, corrilo rod, 95mm Harley Davidson piston, head ported to 38mm inlet with 38mm Mk 2 concentric, scrambles cam exhaust and a very trick vernier cam on the inlet side of things - all topped of with a pal mag. The gearbox is AMC with commando gears, the only thing that needs beafing up is the clutch. It cant cope! Nearly forgot, the stroke is 106 mm which brings it up to 752cc. Even at a standard compression of 8 to 1 and geared for 60 mph in bottom, it is as quick as my Commando at the Manx this year. I will put it on the dyno in the pits and see if it needs a hike in compression? I must give a big thank you to fellow member Mark Gunson who did all the engine and gearbox work and made bits on the lathe for the engine and to Apoacher who is always at the end of the phone with good solid advice. All in all a joint effort.
