Description: Details: 1957 600cc Matchless G11
Reg. No. SCE 397
Frame No.A58922
Engine No.05364
Produced for only 3 years the 600cc parallel twin is an unusual variant. This example was purchased new by Mr William Fayer Moore of 111 Hills Road, Cambridge from Claude Scott Ltd of Fitzroy Street, this was apparently the first new bike they sold.. He rode the G11 for 10 years before laying it up. Ten years passed and the current owner purchased it from him and rode it for the next 3 years until a magneto fault saw it consigned to an outhouse. SCE 397 has not moved since and is in need of some serious TLC. The vendor says he is confident that it is in untouched condition, the engine has never been apart, some spares are supplied along with a V5 document and a green continuation logbook.
Estimate 700 - 1,000

Absolutely fantastic! Hopefully the new owner will not destroy the patina.

Roy, I think you’ve got a fetish about bikes like this - you must have the "full set" by now!
