FJRIGJWWE9R1PIC_RATING:COMMENTS many thanks for putting this up, has persuaded me to give it a try. Two up fully ladden with camping gear means I have to put my heels down in an emergency. Boots now heel-less!

FJRIGJWWE9R1PIC_RATING:COMMENTS Instead of removing the end of the trailing lining I file a long taper so that more of the lining touches the drum.Taking off the end of the lining, with rivetted shoes is not a good idea as the linings have been known to come away from the shoe.Paul

FJRIGJWWE9R1PIC_RATING:COMMENTS I remember Tich Allen (VMCC) writing about this some year ago. I must write to them and see if they will re-print it. My brake just fells like the drum is oval even after skimming with the wheel built up and a new bearing assembly. Will try this mod.
