If you rubbed all the tinwear down with fine wet & dry, rubbed the crankcases, barrel and head with a brillo pad, and scuffed up the seat cover, it would look just like mine!

Lovely result-It will have to be a 10 for me then! Please could you tell me if the tank was painted in two-pack Cardinal red?

I had one of these but in a black 1961 AJS version, it was an excellent ride and handled excellently, I remember it being very reliable and only remember a problem with the gearchange pawl spring breaking, lovely bike, very jealous !!!

Hi, Beautiful bike, hope mine looks half as nice when its finished. Same question as Sarah, is the tank painted Cardinal Red two pack?

In reply to Sarah and Wild’s question. I painted the tank in Tartan Red and its the correct AMC colour. I used an aerosol paint and 1 can was plenty. I got it from RS Motorbike Paint Ltd.
