Description: 1955 AJS Model M18 S This is the start of my next rebuild, Tin ware,and frame sent shot blasting,Hubs sent for new rims&SS ,Spokes, Head & gear box being Bead blasted.This was a basket case, with lots of bits missing ,Now searching jumbles for parts before going to dealers, Will be buying new cables chains tranfers,levers wiring,tyresand all rubber parts, I have sent rechrome parts to S&T Yate , the tank I am still undecieded if to chrome or paint, (quoted £350 for chrome

Is it Wrong to Chrome the tank,is it worth it to chrome the tank !Please leave your comments Ronald

Nice project! A black enamel tank looks just right, with correct pinstriping badges. Export chrome version also looks nice, but expensive!

I’ve always struggled with right versus wrong, but if S&T are doing the chrome it will be as good as anybody can do it. What do you do with your spare time Ronald? Do you have staff?
