All good information....I just wish I could find an airfilter that would fit any of the 3 carbs that I have as possibilities for use on my AJS model 18S while still looking somewhat "correct"!!

I too would like to know where to obtain an air filter for a 1954 AJS 18s. The distance from hte carb mouth to the frame is very short.
