1929 M6 Clutch drive plate |
Description: |
Clutch input plate, keyed to the mainshaft of the gearbox. Note the raised ring around the centre? This is less than 1mm high, and shows that this plate is probably from the multi-plate version for the larger capacity motorcycles. This has caused an odd wear pattern on the cork friction plate and I would imagine would make the clutch somewhat less effective. I have the choice of grinding it flat, or trying to swap it for the correct version. Seeing as the raised part is badly worn and scored..... |
