Looking good Don, what size front wheel and tyre is that, it looks very chunky.

is the frame a model 20.. As it has a side car lug on the down tube.? did the scrambes models also have standard Engine plates it’s just that one or 2 i have looked at had polished steel with the oil tank mounted inside the dyno space it’s a very tidy job Don Look forawd to seeing it finshed

Just at about the same stage with my 56 18CS ... no guuards on mine yet though ... mine has aluminium engine plates and no lights / dynamo .. so guess this was a mod

Tire is 3.50x19in, typical for our desert events which are soft, (sometimes very soft dust), & rock. Big tires float easier. The frame is the correct scrambler frame for this model, which did have the sidehack mount at the front but none in back. Competition footrests mount on round 5/8in stud requiring engine plates to match. The rear mudguard, though battered & split, is the rare original so retained. Front was missing so had to make a new one with all the internal bracing rivited in.
