Description: 1960-up CS head on left compared to 1956-59 on right. Note gentle slope of early edge of combustion chamber compared to steep rise of later type. This area & the matching piston edge create the squish band, important for efficient combustion.

Very nice Don, but you have forgotten the early type came in to forms, and the spark plugs where in differant postions as well as combustion shape.
