1947 One owner AJS Model 18 |
Description: |
Had this one two months. The original owner rode it until he passed away 6 years ago when it was put into storage. I was also given a photo of the original owner taking delivery of it in front of the supplier’s shop in Guildford which closed down in the late 60’s. I also took over (purchased) a stack of NOS spares which were given to the owner by the shop proprietor when the business closed. These included a complete and rebuilt 1946 500 engine, g/box, mag, dynamo, saddle, front and rear wheel spindle assy’s, crankpins, boxes of AMAL and Lucas spares, clutch plates, gasket sets, valves, g/box internals and half a van full more. Most still greased and wrapped in makers’ waxed paper. So far I’ve covered about 200 miles on the grunty old girl with a VERY big grin! Should see me out... |
