Description: Taff the Horns (aka Lynn Isaac) picked up this picture by Courtesy of Wayne Bowen Motorcycles of Treorchy (Wales).

It's believed to be a picture of an AJS in Tasmania in 1938 ridden by J Wright. Taff came up with it when researching the website www.silverdragons.co.uk the Archive of Britain Mainland's Largest TT racing Circuit.

Can anyone help with more information ?

surely, everyone knows that this is the blown 990cc. AJS vee-twin built by the works in 1930to capture the world land speed record for motorcycles. After a prolonged absence "down under" it presently resides in the NMM near Brum.
