Well, it was like this...100 miles to the rally (due to meandering here and there and via Watford without a map) then back home to Caversham, near Reading, via an equally-meandering but pleasant route via a friend the other side of Witney, west Oxfordshire...248 miles door-to-door and only used 3.5 gallons of super unleaded.
