Late G9/20 cylinder heads

I know that for 1960 the 650cc cylinder heads changed to the type with extra ,diagonal, fins below the exhaust port. My question is - did the 500cc heads also have this feature or not?

Sorry to be pedantic, but this does not, in my book, constitute 'proof'! We have ebay items which are alleged to be for a G9 (bought in error for a G12???) and a description of fins on a self confessed 'bitsa'. Does anyone have an original post 1960 G9 or Model 20 with these fins featured?

I own a 1960 G9.

It has the diagonal fins underneath the exhaust port as described. I'll try and post a picture if/when I get the chance.

I agree with Shufty, one of our section also has a 1960 G9 with the diagonal fins , only after we all nearly convinced him it was incorrect , we read the bacon book and this thread confirmed it was correct for 60 onward 500's as well as 650's

Likewise one of our guys has a 1960 Mod 20 and this also has the diagonal fins.
