If you are using a mechanical regulator, it doesn't care which is earth & you can flash it either way. Electronic regulators are polarity specific so be sure you connect one correctly before connecting the battery or any other source of power. Cheers, Don.

Hi John,
Yep, I think you're right with regards to the polarities for flashing. My bike is positive earth and I flashed from the negative battery terminal - all worked as it should. Opposite was round for negative earth makes sense. Just check it's giving positive voltage output when you're done. Good luck!
