Does any one have any tips or ideas how I can improve the front brake ?? on my 1952 clubman 'cos I've nearly worn through the soles of my best boots trying to stop the beast ... the brake is of the single sided type

I enhanced my front brake by easing the trailing shoe, an old tip which made a big difference.I believe there are pics under the photos section courtesy of Herr Spriddler. Very clear and instructive.
