Couldn't you fit an anti-wet -sumping tap to the air bed?
Seriously, the air feed hose to my tropical fish tank is fitted with a 'reversible' non-return tap which might help your predicament!

Nah, I believe there's are only 'Spare(s) Dick' and 'Winco' going from our lot this year instead of the usual dozen or more. It was more practical to stop there en route when it used to be held the weekend before the Int'l.

Hello Neville,
The hose can be as long or as short as necessary to suit your requirement!
Although I bought the valve for my fish tank at the local aquarist's shop, you could probably buy one in the wine making section of your nearest Boots chemists. Just a simple 'stop' valve would do the job.
I will send you the instruction leaflet for the pump I use to both inflate and deflate my air bed, very time and labour saving device, which has adaptors to fit most camping hoses.
