389 carbs

Post by orgeopes »

Hello,

is it posible for a 389/46 carb (written on the body)to have a 1 1/8" bore?

i listed it and for this carb the bore size is 1 5/32" and i need a bore size of 1 1/8" for my 63´ M16

also does it make any diference using a 1 5/32" bore carb on it if so what can i do to sort it out?

thanks in advance

There are some opinions about carb bore in the topic thread "Bottomless fuel pit".

i folow your advice and checked the topic but in my case the diference in size is much smaller (0,79mm in bore diameter) does this diference make any diverence in lower rev.´s behavior if jetted accord fabric standards:

Main Jet - Size 230 (376/100-230)
Pilot Jet - 25cc (376/076-25)
Needle Jet - Size 106 (376/072-106)

the reason of this post is that i have bid this carb on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280649308673&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
feel free to over bid me because now i have some doubts.. but if i win it it will go on the bike to substitute the concentric one i have
