When I go to Switzerland this summer, 2-up plus camping gear, I shall carry 2 of the new copper headgaskets, that means I will have no problems with the old "dodgy " composites ones!!

I have downloaded both the 1950 Matchless & 1950 AJS spares lists. Use the F. Neil books for service info.

The spools were deleted for 1960-up engines.

Cheers, Don.

Strange? My '63 needed them, that's why i machined slightly longer than the originals. They must have used shorter throughstuds at one time?

I have had several 650s, up to 1962. They had only enough threads protruding for the flat washer & nut. I cannot speak for later engines. Cheers, Don.
