Fitting rear mudguard to G9

Post by twigtv »

I'm trying to fit the rear mudguard to my 1959 Matchless G9
I've fitted the bolts to the bottom 2 brackets and the bolt to the loop bridge.
How does the top pivot bolt 023269 that goes through the shockers and the grab handles connect up to the mudguard? (If they do). There are 2 large holes in the mudguard that roughly line up with them.
Can anyone tell me the length of these bolts as I need to obtain a couple and maybe all will then become clear.
Cheers,

Thanks ITMA for your reply,

I see that would make sense.
I still need to know the length of the top bolts however & can't seem to see the nuts listed

Thanks, I've now found the parts in my box of bits that came with the bike.
Thanks for your help and sorry to trouble you.
