Surely as club members we have a vested interest in JSL and should work to promote it?

Of course we should support JSL whenever possible however, the last few times I needed parts they could not supply them, so I used one of the other 'Specialist Suppliers'. And if the service is very good it's only fair to say so.

Pooks Books are up here in Leicestershire now, in a village called Rothley, on the old A6. A very interesting place to visit and browse too. (you're not meant to use it as a library though they like you to actually buy the books)
Nice part of the county to visit too, you can even catch the Great Central steam trains there from Leicester.

To all members, I have just woken in a cold sweat ( 4am here )realising that I must edit my first post and say most strongly that ' of course I would be using JSL as my first and Preferred choice for spares ' and indeed have already made plans to visit the JSL store during my visit.
I really only wanted to enquire if a few of my old haunts were still around and as a last resort for a few hard to get parts.
Genuine apologies if I have offended anyone with my original post, I must stress it was not intended.

Yours, most humbly

Feeling suitably chastised, I must now thank all members who have given me addresses and information to my original question.

And very good at it, too, except that we think we know you well enough by now.

You are thinking of MCS in Leytonstone. They are still there (just). Ted died a few years ago and Matt is running it now. However he is starting to relocate to Devon and is only there 2 or 3 days a week. His no is 020-8534-2711
