It'll be 6 volt originally, about 11 amp/hrs, but you will have a bit of leeway there. Most likely positive earth, but best read a manual to check, try Christians archives here for that. You probably don't know which way the earth is now either? If not best polarise the dynamo and set the connections to suit whichever you choose.
Best get yourself a manual (really an owners handbook) anyway. Everything is in them.
Steve.

Hi again, worked out that the battery is a Lucas MLZ9E but cannot source one. I live in Ireland and went to a bike shop today gave them the dimensions of battery to fit into carrier and after checking 3 wholesalers no joy. Anyone know the modern equivalent of this battery. 6 volt 12 ampere hours at the 10 hour rate.
Thanks
Thanks
