Tea break and thoughts

Post by Rick.Edwards »

So,we'll go no more a roving
So late into the night,
Though the heart be still as loving,
And the moon be still as bright.

For the sword outwears its sheath,
And the soul wears out the breast,
And the heart must pause to breathe,
And love itself have rest.

Though the night was made for loving,
And the day returns too soon,
Yet we'll go no more a roving,
By the light of the moon.

That Andrew Motion is about to pack it in.....could be a position as "Poet Laureat" going,Rick. If you can find something which rhymes with "purple" you've got the gig!
Hard work never killed anyone.....but why take the risk?

So wonderfull your poem be
A roving some more for me
Over to a dear lady i know
After dark the wife wont know

When i return early in the morning
The wife will be loudlyly snoring
Into the bed i must a softly creeping
Then off to a good nignts sleeping

If no Forum posts from rex you see
Expect the worst wife caught ME
I then will move out across the sea
To a warm place with my love HAPPY ??

But from Rex another post we did see,
Means no "some more" roving for he,
No need to bed softly creeping,
But must have had a good night's sleeping,
And best, the dear wife had ye!!
