Tea break and thoughts

Post by nrbgarda »

Why be surprised at our articulation?
It should be a matter of expectation!
After all, aren’t our AJS Matchless machines,
Sweet simple Poetry in Motion!

Have we missed our poet’s vocation?
From what do we get our noble inspiration?
When we ride our AJS-Matchless machines,
We’re all sweet simple Poetry in Motion!

To India i send Best Good Greeting
One day i hope we could be meeting
Friend have to your country been
On "ENFIELD,s" lots to be seen
There adventures look so Exciting
Not like in England Motor Biking
Roads full of many Vehicles THERE
If i came over me it would Scare!
The best thing is its HOT and DRY
Not like here no SUN in the SKY
One thing when you need Repairs
To England you must request Spares

Rex that was great.I'm beaming from ear to ear.

In India, these days,
Clear days, no haze,
Blue skies, bright golden sun,
Ride the G3, have fun!
But must concede Rex
has all others outdone.

Naozar. (and now it's 2:20 and am off to bed)

I must get on the road again, to ride to the distant view,
And all I ask is a G3 with the steady beat of a classic British single.
With the wheel's a turning and the wind's song once more anew,
That all combines to give a thrill and make you tingle.

I must get on the road again, for the call of the morning is yet
an urgent call and a clear call that you’ll not be spurning;
And all I ask is a sunny day that fades into splendid sunset ,
And the narrow lanes with their tight blind bends a turning.

I must get on the road again, there is a need to proceed with haste,
and all I ask is the company of a smiling fellow-rover.
When you are of a certain age, you have no time to waste,
before a quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long ride is over.

Sorry J.M. could not resist mucking about with a school days favourite !

I must go down to the sea again
The lonely sea and the sky
If they've sold all the Cornish pasties
I shall have to have a pie

or

I eat my peas with honey
I've done it all my life
It makes the peas taste funny
But it keeps them on my knife

Everybody seems very busy.
The only one I remember from my childhood is
She stood on the bridge at midnight
Her lips were all a quiver
She gave a cough, her leg fell off
and floated down the river

Ref Itma "who's Leonard Cohen?"

Itma - he is a French Canadian singer/poet/songwriter who has recently re- launched himself. He however is not to everyones taste and I think I would be correct in saying that a lot of people describe his work as music to slit your wrists to (am I right Alan (Morini) Jennings ??) I however and presumably Alan are at least two people that love him and judging by the response he got at Glastonbury last year his comeback is huge !
