Hi All,
Can anyone tell me where to get an oversize piston for my 1936 model 22? it would have to be +40 or +60.

I think a WD 350 G3 piston might do the trick lots on ebay from time to time

I was hunting for a WD 350 piston at +60 two years ago and I found that they were as rare as rocking horse manure!
I settled on a +40 one and that was difficult to acquire.

The model 22 is a 250 with a bore of 62.5mm, is not the 350 G3 69mm?

Thorntons supplied me with one a few years age as well as +60s for a 1936 RE. Very friendly and helpful.

Try John Phelan (acka Bantam John), on 01246 290021, who is more-or-less guaranteed to have one. I can recommend him for being able to help with rare items, however, don't expect anything but VERY SLOW service though. If you don't want to make an international phone call, I have a postal address if required.

Keith, it's Neal. Matt is a "sleeping" partner, in a coma more like!!
Can't think why I thought I wanted a +60 now; perhaps just to obtain maximum power from the pre-war projectile. Anyway, a Man got me a +40 Wellworthy complete with rings and still in its original box. Genuine, period NOS. The barrel was bored to suit so it wasn't already at +40.
