I thought I was on a winner when I quoted from my original 1951 parts book, the same terminology used by the factory for what I identified in the quiz photograph, but apparently not so! The word 'cleavage' or even 'clevis' is not used for the top of the 1951 jampot teledraulic rear leg. In the 1950 parts book, (the year before the introduction of the 'jampot'), this item is a different shape (candle stick style) but is still called a 'top pivot'.
But I will keep trying!

i thought i had that one too, when i called it "top of rear suspension where it mounts to frame"!

I had no idea the wording was so critical to getting it "right"!

ah... i presume, therefore, that the relegation of the "current" quiz to "last week's" quiz is automatic, but the publishing of the answers is obviously not...

i'll give it some time - we are supposed to wait until Monday evening anyway, to be honest, but seeing as it had already been relegated to the "last week" section, i assumed all was done!

it may well have been, but it seems that none of us got it technically correct!

I guess we're out of images too, given the lack of a competition for this week... oh well! we'll all have to get snapping!

That was the week before Merlin, but for that one, I knew it was your motorcycle so I gave the model, year and mentioned the brake light modification, and I hinted at the owner
(Chemists do it with test tubes) in the comments column, but I STILL apparently got it wrong
Quote "The photo was of my 1956 G3LS rear end"
is also the wrong answer, so even you got it wrong! LOL.
