Hello all expert's
Have just bought an AJS year 1931. When riding it home (40kms) I realize that oil was coming out in the bottom and dripped too much in my opinion. One or two drips can be okay but a whole lake ???
My question to you do I have to live with that or can it be possible to get an AJS oiltight ????
I have 3 old classic BMW no oil here even they are from 1954, 1956 and 1972.
Please reply I,m new member and dont know really much about old english bikes .
Look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards Jan Jensen Denmark

Too much oil coming out
Quite right, I was not paying attention
welcome Insp Jensen.
AJS of this age were not notable for oil leakages, very few places for it to leak from.

Too much oil coming out
Thanks for all replies,
Itma I really dont know yet, may be from front chain I have noticed that a lubricating system when riding put some oil on the chain ! May be it comes from the chain ? It have not seen any oil dripping when parking overnight only when ride a tour and then stop the bike then it comes.
I have to make more investigiation checking out where it comes from.
thanks for welcome to the forum !

Just a thought, could it be the engine breather. I don't know these early bikes but if its similar to the later model 18 don't they have a breather pipe some guide over the rear chain for extra lubrication?
