Throttle valve cutaway

Hello all,
what is the difference in mm or inches of the height of the cut away on the Amal Monoblock trottle valve cutaway from a 3 1/2 to a 4 one?

Hello Geoffrey, from memory, each 1/2 on the code equals 1/16" of an inch. So a No 4 cutaway is 1/4" high from the bottom of the slide. A 3 1\2 is 3/16" high. (So richer than a 4)

The best bet is to have a look at Hitchcocks site (the Enfield dealers) they have the Amal tuning and service details there,and a good spares service too.
