What size are the bolts holding stator onto chaincase on G80CS. They look to be 7/32" bscy, but they don't seem to exist. Any part number or equivelent? Help. Brian

A little convoluted this. The spares list for 1960 lists this fixing as a stud, 024150, with nut 011843. This nut appears in the 1950 twin spares as the centre web stud nut and this stud is 1/4"x26 for the nut and 1/4"x 20 into the centre web. So whatever the thread is your bolt is 1/4".

I have an alternator twin and the G80CS is listed as having the same setup. The twin has studs into the outer half of the aluminium alloy chain case, part no as given by Alan 024150 3 off, also listed are the nuts 011843 3 off and washers plain 000012 also 3 off. I don't have the studs to hand but would expect one end to be 1/4" 26 tpi cycle thread and the other 1/4" 20 tpi whitworth to give a coarser thread into the aluminium alloy. It would probably be a good idea to include spring washers as well to help prevent anything coming undone.

Thank you Thank you Thank you. Never occurred to me to be a stud. I assumed a bolt.
