Late model zig zag petrol tank

They do look strange, don't they? A little unsettling when you first see one--- well done (doing?---) Rick & Jim, I appreciate the effort.

I have a tank that needs a completer make-over, so these details will come in handy. Yes, the zig-zag lines are a bit weird, seem to stem from the same design era that gave BSA their ray gun silencers! What appeals to me about these late models is the opportunity to get away from the all black slightly sinister look of the 50ies models.
