Need some history on KGP726D Matchless G2 CSR 250 engine no G2/CSR

Kevin, for you own safety I don't think it is a good idea to post frame/engine numbers on the internet.

Alan why would that be,may be a stupid question but cannot see how that would help any crook.

I was going to preface my post with ' I don't know why, but I have heard' Would it not be useful to legitimise a stolen machine. A section member bought a bike in a parlous state, when he had restored it and attempted to register it, DVLA said a machine was in existence with the same frame number. It was finally resolved to his benefit.

Thanks but I still need information to retain old number plate and get it registered with the DVLA. How do I do it

Well, you never really asked how to register it, you asked for 'History'. Point to 'Club' at the top of the page and then scroll down to 'machine dating' That will tell you all you want to know.Edited by - Biscuit on 11 Mar 2008 12:13:05 PM
