I am in need of some spares to fix the speedo on my 1955 16MS.
I rang the number I had for P.J.Speedos but they are no longer trading.
I have been told that the people who normally carry out this sort of work are reluctant to just supply the parts which I can understand to a certain degree, the problem is a full refurbishment would be £100 or more and I just need a couple of items for my local classic garage man who has kindly offered to do the workt to get it going.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Don't know if they supply spares to the public or not, but A.Gagg and sons of Nottingham repair clocks so will likely have the bits. They can be 'a bit old fashioned' to deal with sometimes, but worth a call-I bet they have tons of bits in tobacco and biscuit tins on sagging old shelves 'round the back'.

Here's another repairer.

These repairers don't like to sell there workshop stock. I am currently repairing a chronometric that was "fully overhauled" a few years ago. While fitting new odometer drum numbers, I found that the two ratchet wheel thrust washers were missing, on ringing around, I located four local people who had them but non wanted to sell.
I eventually located a repairer up in QLD who would reluctantly only sell at a price.
They ended up costing me AUD$34 for the pair....that 15 quid.

Late in the day, I had my chronometric fixed by Auto Tempo, but don't get a thing when I Google it now! I have the bill at home, it was a long time ago, but the speedo still working.
I'll PM you if I find the contact number and remember!
