John, what is your Harris armed with, 30mm cannon?

How do you define a Classic, surely Janet, Nellie is a classic, not to the taste of the majority, but a classic none the less. If you follow the VMCC 25 year rule, then I would have thought anything older than this is a classic.Edited by - Biscuit on 01 Aug 2007 11:40:22 PM

Its always puzzled me why the term "classic" is applied to, old bangers.
I remember the fuss the VMCC went through allowing things to become "post vintage"
now it seems anything old enough to have two MOT tests behind it is suddenly"classic"
No its not, its an old banger, even if you love it to bits.
Is my 20yr old Sherpa van a "classic" then?
Will it suddenly become classic in 5 yrs time rather than a rust bucket?

I reckon I`m priced up for insurance by my postcode from the look of all the above, can`t think why Hull is so cheap for insurance, unless its a sympathy thing; I had a similar problem with the income tax when I moved from SE20 to a Manor house in Wiltshire; taxman immediately assumed I`d legged it with a bucket of loot, while in fact I was living in the cowshed at the side of the manor.

Result the Trike @ £115.00 and my mail policy at £50.00 less than Carol Nash and staying with Red star that includes roadside recovery. This broker has done well and with no fuss so it’s good buy to CN. It you are interested then contact Emma @ Profile Insurance services on 01933 410665 and mention the Club

good result, I reckon Nash must be haemorrhaging customers from what I`ve been reading on various bike sites.
Sarve'em right
mere mention of them is enough to send me off in a cloud of gloom now.

If you insure only one bike try Ebike (avertised in club mag).I have a 1959 G3 and pay £67.20 fully comp with breakdown cover, a lot less than I used to pay with CN !

Yes, mine definitely has a greed value. No 'new for old' replacement unfortunately.

Just switched from C.N. to Peter Best of Kelvedon and made a substantial saving. Had to make a phone call to improve on the `on line quote` but well worth the effort.
