Heaveyweight Single question
How do I remove the little non-return-valve that feeds the cylinder lubrication. It is mounted in the crankcase, between the cam followers ( with the cylinder removed.) I can get the 'centre' to rotate and this holds a light spring in plce, but I strongly suspect the 'valve' is stuck shut, as no oil is coming up through it ( spun over by hand for five minutes) though plenty dripped out of the rocker feed pipe.

insert a 3 ba cheese head screw and lever it out,
it will do no harm if it does not work, discontinued on later engines

Removed the valve, then the ball bearing using blue-tack. Spinning over by hand now produces an oil flow. Cheers.
