How could the battery affect the ignition or carburation?
It's a Varta (type 012 014 008)with a capacity of 12Ah, about 10 years old and in very good condition for its age. Fully charged, at 20 Deg. C. it will sustain a 3 Watt (1/2 Amp) bulb for 20 hours before the terminal voltage starts dropping off. The charge voltage is well within the accepted limits and the electrolyte SG. "spot on". The regulator is still the original 2 bobbin Lucas and even now not more than a few Millivolts out.
Am I missing the point here somewhere?
