First of all
Many Thanks for all your Help in sorting out the weak spark problem
it turned out to be a very simple fix the current on the 6 volt system was just not strong enough to get through a modern surpressed plug gap i purchased a low reisistence unsurpressed cap and Bingo!
job done
A curious Problem Came to light with one of the new spark plugs
a champion plug that had clearly come into contact with either
the inlet valve or top of the piston??
In the tech.Articles under ignition it discribes precisely that
However with a bach of NGK 7ES PLUGS HAS any one else had this
problem? with a campion plug.

...now you didn't at some point drop that plug on the floor! A concrete floor will do what you describe to a falling plug (don't ask me how I know this, I had a similar experience where this was the cause, but maybe not so surprising from a person who have managed to connect the oil lines the wrong way around!)
Cheers!

Are you sure it wasn't a projected tip plug. The original design was for a plug flush with the surface.
