Speedo gearbox wanted

Post by TommoT »

Thanks all, got hold of one here in DK, from honourable member minajs, who had one spare from a previous rebuild!

Great stuff!

NB: may not make it to Jampot Spares Open Day, but reserve a set of twin bearing thrust washers and a G9 crankshaft for me!

Speedo gearbox wanted

Post by Don Madden »

Sorry, TommoT. I may have the world's supply of those in AMadden's Cave.

I have a few sets of good used thrust bearing sets & a good pre-57 crankshaft for sale. It is at standard size & looks good but polishing the jounals may reveal a need to re-grind.

The bare crankshaft weighs 24.5lb, but securly packed in double boxes is 29lb. Costly shipping from California to anywhere in the Real World. A countryman of yours is also interested & in a twin engine, but finds the cost of shipping an engine high.

He has asked about the crankshaft, too, but not decided, but he gets first refusal.

If you are interested, (or anyone else), send a PM.

Cheers, Don.
