Side Stand HELP!

Post by Vardan »

I have recently purchased a 1955 G3L 350cc Single.
The side stand spring was broken so I have bought a new one. When trying to fit it I cannot see a point where the top of the spring connects. Since the broken spring was dangling down I have no clues.
I have tried the internet but cannot find any details
Can anyone give me some pointers?
Also can anyone recommend a good technical book / manual?

Here's the manual: http://archives.jampot.dk/book/Owners_m ... ingles.pdf
If you want the stand to spring up when the bikes straightened up there are 2 holes in the frame tube opposite the end of the stand. So the spring is straight across the bike. If you want it to stay down until you flick it up you can make a small bracket on the front engine stud to hook it to.
