AJS Model 16; Engine plates.

Post by Rohan B. »

The parts lists for years around there show that indeed only one set of engine plates was used for 350s and 500s, rigids and springers. P/N is 013677 So you should be right.

However, the parts lists also show separate numbers for compy model engine plates, and the 350 is different to the 500. So if your plates are off a compy model (unlikely) they won't be right, although the differences must be minor.

hopethishelps,
Rohan.

AJS 1949 500 Rigid Engine Plates. How can I identify the correct the set of engine plates for this model and year. I am talking about the large plates that do the engine, footrests and gearbox. I have 3 sets in the boxs of bits and no part numbers.... Cheers Peter
