Gearbox removal, 1952

Post by Bill »

Hello,
I did a search, but didn't see an answer to my question. Can the gearbox be removed complete with the engine in place? Assuming of course that the primary has been removed first.

yes its can , obviously primary side all off and oil pipe to give better access (assume its a single)
I usually remove one engine plate as it makes it easier
on my 1946 i got gear box out without removing oil pipes , but fund much easier to remove when refitting

Thanks for the info. This one is a 500 twin. Forgot to add that!
